Dhangadhi: The election atmosphere has heated up with the preparations for the election of the new leadership of Kailali Chamber of Commerce and Industry in . There are indications that there will be a contest with two panels in the upcoming elections to be held on September 15.
SA senior vice-president Pushkar Raj Ojha and former general secretary Rupesh Swar are set to face each other for the post of president. Rupesh Swar-led team has finalised the office-bearers for the election.
Keshav Joshi has been elected as senior vice-president while Laxman Panta, Anil Bhujania, Radhika Chaudhary and Siddharaj Paneru have been nominated for the post of vice-president. Swar said that Shuresh Pandey will be the general secretary, Prakash Chand the secretary and Tilak Bohara the treasurer. Stating that the names of the working committee members contesting the election from his team are yet to be finalized, Swar said that all the sectors are being included.
Swar, who is contesting for the post of president, has already started campaigning through social media by running the secretariat. Stakeholders in the business sector consider this election important in determining the future policies and activities of the association. The association currently has more than 1,000 members and in previous elections, there has been a tradition of fierce competition between the two sides.
