Dhangadhi : A large number of devotees have gathered at Badimalika, a famous religious place in Bajura. A large number of devotees thronged Badimalika on Friday on the occasion of Janai Purnima.
Pilgrims from all over the country have reached Badimalika since morning for the fair and special puja to be held on saun Shukla Chaturdashi. Chief District Officer Meghnath Padhaya informed that a government team including Petara from Doti, Jumla, Kalikot and Dhangadhi districts has also reached Badimalika for the puja.
Puja is being conducted peacefully,” he said. Around 100 security personnel including Nepal Police, Nepal Army and Armed Police Force have been deployed for the management and security of the fair. A large number of visitors from different districts and states of the country, including Uttar Pradesh of India, participate in the Badimalika Fair, which is held every year on the eve of Janai Purnima. According to religious beliefs, worshiping in Badimalika is considered to fulfill the wishes.
